Abuzar Salman Khan Niazi
Mr. Abuzar Salman Khan Niazi began his practice of law in 2013 at Cornelius, Lane and Mufti and joined Raja Muhammad Akram and Co as a Partner in April, 2018. Abuzar specializes in constitutional law, civil law, banking law, labour law and environmental law. He has extensive experience in the food and beverage sector and energy and power sector.
Abuzar has advised on commercial contracts and mergers and acquisitions in the banking and finance sector. He has in depth knowledge of the property and real estate sector and has counselled on high value land transactions, including due diligence and review of lease deeds, sale deeds and various other instruments of conveyance. He is also involved in several public interest litigations and other complicated civil and banking litigations before the Banking Courts, Civil Courts, Lahore.
Abuzar is frequently invited as a legal and constitutional expert on panels and talk-shows by large media outlets. He is a prolific writer and has over fifty publications under his name. He is regularly featured in national newspapers.
Shezal Khan Burki
Shezal Khan Burki, LL.M (London), Advocate High Court, has been practicing law from the year 2015 with a primary focus on constitutional, financial, corporate and banking law. He appears before the High Courts of the Country and in all litigation matters before the Banking Courts and other judicial fora.
Shezal is also involved in drafting, opining, and advising on commercial, banking and financial matters and specializes in opining and advising in matters relating to public and administrative laws, property laws, Intellectual Property and Consumer protection laws of Pakistan. He specializes in the incorporation of section 42 companies under the Companies Act 2017 (NPOs).
Shezal is an avid supporter of Chelsea F.C. and the Pakistan Cricket Team.
Daraab Wali Furqan
Daraab is an Advocate of the High Courts of Pakistan. He is a barrister-at-law (non practising), called to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Inner Temple Inn in 2016. Degree of Master of Commercial Laws (LLM) was awarded to him by the University of Melbourne. He has been practising law in Pakistan since 2015. He works as a litigator and transactional lawyer. He regularly appears before the High Courts of Pakistan, as well as the lower courts, and other regulatory and administrative fora in Pakistan. He is also a certified mediator and negotiator.
Daraab’s experience, gained from arguing briefs from both sides, gives him a unique perspective placing him at an ideal position for arguing cutting edge and complicated matters with relative ease. He has represented clients in corporate restructuring, winding up, and financial matters. He has also appeared before the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Competition Commission on behalf of various entities.
M Awais Khan
Awais is an Advocate of the High Courts of Pakistan, holding an LLM in American Law from Boston University. He has been practicing law in Pakistan since 2015, primarily in the Corporate and Transactional sectors.
On behalf of his clients, Awais has worked closely with regulators such as the SECP and Competition Commission. He has been instrumental in obtaining multiple merger clearances from the Competition Commission of Pakistan for international corporations, as well as mergers taking place in China and Europe. He has also successfully obtained exemption certificates for exclusivity agreements for several clients. He is heavily involved in regulatory compliance with the SECP including, but not limited to, company incorporations, share transfers and issuance of shares. Experience includes corporate governance of all forms.
